Poirot : Mon Dieu! Wonders will never stop! The Chief Inspector Japp....A change of heart, Chief Inspector?

ポワロ：おやまあ！驚きが続きますね！ジャップ警部…気が変わりましたか？

Japp : Yes, you might say that, Mr. Poirot. Or you might say I don't want to see some poor amateur get himself in a fix.　

ジャップ：ええ、そう言っていいでしょう、ポワロさん。あるいは素人が苦労しているのを見たくないと言っていいかもしれませんね。

Poirot : Ah, you are too kind, Chief Inspector Japp. Your great heart will be your downfall.

ポワロ：おや、親切すぎます、ジャップ警部。あなたの偉大な心が命取り（身を亡ぼす）になりますよ。

Japp : True. True. Now then, where's the simple country squire?

ジャップ：その通り、その通りだ。さて、だたの田舎の大地主はどこだ？

Poirot : You'll find him in the hall, sacking all his staff.

ポワロ：広間にいるよ、スタッフ全員を首にしようとしている。

Japp : Oh dear. Got out of bed the wrong side, did he?

ジャップ：おやまあ。機嫌が悪いのかな？

Poirot : Perhaps. Bon chance!　

ポワロ：たぶん。ご健闘を！
